Central Cal Sprint to the Coast

Left home at 7:50 am, headed for Hwy 58.

Outbound for excellent twisty adventures. The tips in the book I've been reading, Total Control, really helps with carving. The roads there were great- hardly any traffic.

Pretty.

Turn off at the legendary 229. Think a prefectly paved go-kart track, but for miles. Wow.

I also unfortunately dropped my bike for the first time today... made a wrong turn in the Lake Naciemento (North of Paso Robles) area, and while I was thinking more about where I was going rather than what the **** I was doing, I tried to negotiate a U-turn on a hill. Stupid. I ran out of E while sideways, and the hill was steep enough that the weight of the bke was over-center before my leg was planted.

&*&&^ Droppage. Scratched the **** out of the left-side fairing and hard-bag...but no mechanical damage.

If anything, this made me more intent than ever to rush it to the coast. "If I'm gonna f*ck my own bike up over this, ****it, I'm gonna go see my Mother Ocean."
