Thanks Roygrif.

Roden - Condition of my Trident: rough, neglected with 72000 miles!

Bought the bike in Jan 08, it hadn't been ridden much over the previous year. Siezed front calipers that turned out to be corroded beyond repair, but I bought 4-pots and discs from MotT3's S3 which I'm fitting at the moment. Was running very rough, but when I took the carbs out to fit a K&N I found that the choke was stuck permanently open. I've lubed the cable and hope that that will have fixed that. Also, the centre carb/airbox rubber was sealed with a ziptie, so I've put a proper clip on it.

Once I've got the brakes up together I want to take it out and see what it's like on the road, then finish the major service (oil, coolant, plugs, valve clearances, bleed back brakes and clutch). That'll be it for now, want to ride it during the summer, then next winter start looking at the cosmetics especially the aftermarket front fairing that I think looks vile!

Generally though, I'm pleased with it. Most of the bikes I've had before (last was a 1200 Daytona) have been dealer maintained, and I wanted to do it all myself this time. I've enjoyed it so far, and have learned loads with the help of you folks on here.
