I took an 07 Tiger 1050 on demo with Triumph's ORC and tune.

Each to their own, but the noise became very irritating and the bike for me, still exhibited a very on/off, switch like throttle action.

I've often read, it's difficult to notice a 10 bhp increase on a 100 bhp bike, especially when the gains are usually towards the upper reaches of the rev range. Given that you're very unlikely to gain as much as that anyway, I don't think any gains are going to benefit what is already a quick bike, with a broad, flat torque curve.

IMO, it's more about the acoustics and whether you like that extra noise and attention. I've got an offroad can for my 955 in the garage, which, is highly unlikely to see the light of day again.

Pays yer money and takes yer choice.
