I haven't worked on many bikes yet, but have YEARS of modifying cars under my belt (corvettes, mustangs, 60's muscle cars, imports, etc). I have found that unless your motor (with cars anyway) is HEAVILY modified, far exceeding the factory specs (by say a good 15-20 %), than putting aftermarket aircleaner does NOTHING for performance. The factory designs it's airfilters to flow perfectly adaquite with a stock motor (and then some). Until your motor is starving for air (not likely until heavily modified) it will have zero gain from replacement and you'll be wasting your money. I'd think bike motors are the same, but as I said...not much experience there.
