My first replacement discs are still OK after 1k miles, but I'll not be convinced until they've covered a few more miles.

The problem isn't confined to Triumph. My previous bike, a BMW R1200RT purchased from new, had to have new discs within the first 1000 miles.

It was obviously common on the BM, the dealership didn't even inspect the discs. They took my word for it on a phone call and ordered the discs for fitment at the next service.

The Triumph dealership weren't quite as forthcoming and I had to be quite firm about my complaint. They tried to tell me that the 'runout' was within tolerances.

I've mentioned before, I'm sure many riders don't pick up on the symptoms and there are many more cases that aren't reported.
