Thought I'd try the sender first, if the gauge is now near enough accurate I'll live with the light staying on.
It's been on so long I dismissed the ecu theory on the basis it would manifest itself in progressively worse ways, but it hasn't.
36k service due soon, will ask them to have a fiddle then, stick the off road tune in, replace a seal that's leaking oil and then see how much money I have left.
I'd hate to spend £100 on a used ECU and find the bl**dy light still on !! :-)
