Well I took it to the shop today stator tested good, but the regulator is toast literally it was melted and bubbled up on the back so needless to say needs to be replaced. The dealer didn't have any listing of the recall on my bike said it was already done or there wasnt one. Anyway the shop is ordering me a new regulator aftermarket for $120 instead of dealer price of 350. So the problem should be solved once the part is in and plugged in. I should be riding next weekend. The battery tested good as well so I got pretty lucky only toasted the regulator. Thanks for the help to everyone that posted.
