I have the other set of D&D, that form into a single pipe. From the headers to the midway point they look to be the same as mine. I had to remove the rear part of the muffler (from the the mid point on back) to get to the oil plug and filter. It wasn't too much work but I did need another person to help me. All that was required was to unscrew a single bolt where the pipe connects to the rear foot peg and also the two screws at the mid way point. I used a rubber mallet to knock the rear section of the muffler off and away. Reassembly was easy.
One thing I would do differently is before you unscrew the drain plug, cover up the exposed mufflers. They are in close proximity of each other and when I pulled the sump plug oil shot STRAIGHT out and into my pipe. I cleaned it out ok and was expecting it to smoke but it didn't. Hope this helps. I might have a picture, I'll see If I can post it or one when I get home.
