At 36 and 42 psi i dont believe you are running too much pressure
The manufacturer states this as max pressure, but it is also the reccomended pressure.
Tyres of the radial variety are desighned to work within a certain heat range, to achieve this the tyre should always be maintained at the manufacturers reccomended pressure, which is also used as max pressure.
Running at lower pressures will not increase grip but will increase wear.
