In 2006, the last model year for the 955i, the bike had 149 horsepower. The 1998 T595 had 130. While 20 horsepower is fairly substantial, I wouldn't let it hinder you from scooping up a good deal on a T595.

There are a lot of differences between the two bikes. First of all, they won't use the same ECU and a lot of the other electronics are dissimilar, the dash is not digital on the T595, the newer 955i is about fifteen pounds lighter, the exhuast systems are different and unless you get the 1999 or 2000 955i, the bikes look nothing alike.

Also, weren't the T595s notorious for loosing 4th gear? I remember reading that somewhere...
