I was in sunny Lanzarote for a well earned 2 week break from the 3rd to 17th and i saw the MCN test bikes many times in the first week. Lanzarote is a bikers heaven with just about every kind of road you could ever wish for. The local government have spent a fortune on making brand new roads that cross all the major tourist attractions, but by reading "new" do not think "busy"! The Road from Playa Blanca to El Golfo being the highlight of twisty brand new tarmac heaven...just don't run wide. The only run off is straught into solid jagged lava..ouch indeed! Timanfaya mountain is another route which is newly surfaced and offers probably the longest straight on the whole island, it undulates over blind crests into deep dips and i can only imagine the thrill of skipping the front over the crests to be greeted by a huge drop the other side, the front wheel skyward and in the safe knowledge the road is dead straight... and car free...
How i wish i had taken my speed four and left the wife and kids at home. MCN next time you go to Lanzarote please take me too?
