Klavdy, you need to come down a bit further south and do the Summerland Way, Gwydir, and Oxley hwys. If we can do Putty, Thunderbolts and Oxley twice each as an overnighter from Sydney to Wauchope and return (1350km round trip so an easy overnighter), you should be able to do the others from Brisvegas :-)
Sorry can't resist my 2 cents worth on the double line thing (which I do on virtually every ride).
A bike with the 1050 motor can accelerate in 2-3 seconds from 60-80k to 120-140. That means you're on the other side of the road only for that whole 2-3 seconds. If you've got 20-30secs visibility there's PLENTY of time to overtake safely.
Just because it's the law, don't make it right. Hanging over the centreline (broken or unbroken) DURING a corner and taking out another biker is the worst sin but just crossing the line with good visibility is not a big deal if done as per the vid - in an experienced and controlled manner.

The last vid of the Gibralter Range, that's on the bloody Gwydir,have to ride down the Summerland Way to get there from my joint, also I like the Grafton to Armidale road through Nymboida, done 'em on the FJ1200,Dorrigo-Bellingen, lots of 'em.

I'm off to Western Australia on Sunday, will be back in Queensland in three weeks, and I plan on going for a couple days ride down to Walcha etc when I come back.
I work three weeks on, then get a week off..
