Of Course what the articles leave out is the fact that all of those joules and G's etc etc translate into about 14MPH... thats it. After that the Manufacturers liability is off.
Do I wear a helmet? Yes..because my state says so not because I want to. Non-mandatory helmet states have some of the lowest rider fatalities in the US. and not because they are less populated either as some will be quik to argue. Not wanting to sound flippant about the whole thing but, Let me decide! and dont saddle me with High insurance rates as a result. Let me take responsibility for my actions. And let the 75% of crash instigators ie. CARS pay for their mistakes..... not ME.
