Had just enough free time this afternoon for a little ride, and the snow has been melting away rapidly, so I thought I'd try a mild dirt road up above the Columbia River here in Washington state. It's the Rock Island Grade, above of course, the Rock Island Dam. The road was smooth and wide, but soft. Some ice and snow lingered in the shady areas. Temps in the 40's down low, just above the river, but considerably colder up on top! Here's a few photos I snapped along the way:

The lower part of the Rock Island Grade. My Scrambler carried me well beyond the basalt cliffs above.

The dirt road ascends the left side of the canyon or coulee.

Might be a lot of fun to follow that smaller road on the other side of the canyon someday!

The little Scrambler did just fine on the soft stuff and motored safely up, and back down the grade. Then a nice blast at 70 mph on the highway back to home!
