Randy, I know SW Vermont created at least one super awesome woman. that's why I married her.
I'll tell y'all... I'm SOOOOO fortunate to have an outstanding dealer near me... Very stable crew of mechanics... Very competent... I actually am in the shop doing minor stuff while Byron does the work I want him to do... Valves?... an 2 hour job on my Bonnie... Alway very reasonable... actual time spent on bike at shop rate plus shims...

Poor service/work is not the sole domain of Triumph... Do a bit of research on other bike brands. They have the same stories...

A co-worker of mine bought a jet ski from his local UJM dealership... The sold him on staying local because of their promised "superior service"... It went in for its' 10 hour initial service. The ski sat for two weeks after he made an appointment.... work not done and he was charged for it... A friend used the same dealership. Dropped his off for a service/tune up.... Marked his spark plugs. After having it sit for over two weeks he came and paid the bill. Went out to get it... Grass growing up under the trailer... Pulled the plug caps... Yep!... Same marked plugs.... Same gaskets... Raised cane with the owners and got his money back...

GOOD service, on any thing these days, is an endangered species.... Regardless of brand.
