I don't think you're going to get total peace and quiet on the Trophy or any other sport touring bike, especially at 100 MPH. I you sure yours is 12"? Stock is 18". Clearview does make a 25.5 inch screen that is 4 inches taller than stock.
I put a 24" Clearview on my wife's Trophy 1200 and like it pretty good when I ride it. In fact I rode it to work this morning. I'm used to riding my Rocket with just a fly screen on though. She actually loves it. It's alot better than stock, but some wind does get around it and I do get some buffeting. She's a little shorter in the torso and fits right in without having to duck in too much. It also has the 5 position adjustable vent which works pretty good.
