Yeah, the mic's pretty dissapointing. I've talked straight into it, with no other noise, & I still sound muffled (though understandable).
I think they must set the volume low, to cope with exhaust screaming superbikes (& deristricted Hinkley's

I had it mounted on the top mount of my screen, so I could yell right at it. But I think my fullface helmet probably blocked a lot.
I've tried fitting the mic inside the helmet, but it's uncomfortable, & it means I'll be wired to the bike, which I don't like the idea of.
Anyway what I'm saying there, is that I'm riding through Ellis Beach, 20klms nth of Cairns, & the bar on my left is a favourite biker destination, which is usually surrounded by bikes, especially on a Sunday, & I'd never seen so few bikes there on a Sunday Arvo before. (Don't you feel better, now you know that vital info?)
Well the Sun's just coming up, & it looks like clear skies up in the mountains.
So I'm going for a quick strop up the hill to try out the new camera position, & get back in time for the Superbowl (10.00AM local time)
