After realizing that any consistent maintenance was impossible with the stock air box set up , I set out to make mine more user friendly.
I can now remove and install carbs with air box on. Or airbox by itself! After cutting off the inlet ducts I added the K&N reusable filter and a single layer of open cell air breather wrap to the outside of the filter. I will post a link to pics of the mod very soon.
