I'm almost embarrassed to admit this.. I've started to freakin' gadget-ize. Last week I had about a 600 mile ride where I needed a GPS in a remote area, so I made a cool little wood box mount for my Garmin and tied it to the bars with paracord. That's where it all starts, right? The day you tie something to your handlebars with paracord, velcro or duct tape, accessory-itis is soon to follow. Anyway, I've ordered this cool USB charger thingy off Amazon:

I'm going to follow Forchetto's lead on how to wire it up to the running light circuit rather than direct to the battery.

It's a foam cannon. Its basicallly a pre-soak. It's the first step in washing a car. Well second after the wheels. I figured it should work just as well on a bike, right?

I just remember how the troubleshooting posts on here bailed me out after I washed mine thoroughly and couldn't get it to start.

Fitted my centrestand, probably be much easier to do if the rear wheel and front pipes are removed!! I'd read that the Bonnie can be difficult to get up on the stand, but I've found it no harder than the Tiger (and that wasn't easy), but getting it OFF the stand takes some effort!!!!!!

Since I've decided this will be my only bike now I've spent some money in the last few weeks - new tyres (Michelin Active Pilots), IKON shocks and front springs, QD seat latch, centrestand and, hopefully, a tank bag. Next job is to make some spacers for the windscreen mount to angle it forward a bit and see if that reduces the buffeting.

Then I just need the weather to get better so that I can actually ride it!

Did some slimming down with the new TEC Bike Parts Fender Eliminator and black bullet LED turn signals.

You can see the TEC FEK is askew, pretty sure this is a design flaw because it bolts into 4 places with no wiggle room. Doesn't bother me that much but TEC may want to know.

Though not technically "today", this week I managed to get a new seat cover installed and new front turn signals.

Turn signals from MotoboxUSA - Universal Slimline LED Flush Mount Fork Turn Indicators

Seat cover from Luimoto - VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE SEAT COVERS FOR TRIUMPH THRUXTON 04-15 (Went with dark brown with gold stitching)

Next on my list is re-wrapping the headers. Thinking titanium.

How was the process of installing the Luimoto seat cover.
I have been wanting to get one for my solo seat; but have been hesitant, thinking I may not be able get the OEM off and the Luimoto on.

I replaced my stock cover with one from Luimoto as well. It really is very simple to remove the old cover, just pry up the staples with a flat head screwdriver. It helps to have a second set of hands to put on the replacement. They cut marks in the replacement to assist in centering the cover on the seat. Once centered, one staple in the front and one in back to hold it in place. Then just work from side to side stretching and stapling in place, that's where the extra set of hands help.
