Maxton is of course right about the rear shock but a bit harsh (pun intended) relative to the front forks. They are not "too soft" at all IMO. They do show an excess of compression damping (which BTW suggests some confusion if not contradiction on Maxton's part ?) . However, changing the rear shock for a better one (e.g. that of the Daytona 675) ) greatly minimizes that excess, or one's perception of it.
