Are you lowering for looks or for short legs? I would not lower it if your a corner nut like me.

I dropped the suspension height on several bikes due to the fact that I'm a little on the miget side. At 5'7" with short legs it's hard to find a bike that I like and that lets me get my feet flat on the ground.

I dropped the suspension on my Sv650 thinking I would like to be flat footed, not recommended it did effect the cornering of the bike, I dropped the forks in the triple tree and used a lowering link. I switched it back within two weeks of riding. Did the same another Ducati.

Fact is I've been ridinga bike too big for me my whole life, whether it was a Schwinn or a Ducati. I finally realized I will never grow into them!

If your not a cornering person and just cruise about then you should be fine.
