I had dryrider bags on my Trident that expanded to 45l I used them on quite a few trips and actually carried too much. They held up to the weather here in Tassy very well.

Now I have a 2006 St and have ordered a set of Motodry 27l expandable to 35l for $170Au. They look to be fairly sturdy and come with covers. They have two velco straps and I will be mounting them under the seat (no bolt) Tankman has made up a small rack for me to keep them off the paint work. I'll be using them for a 3 week road trip to Sydney in March.

Motodry also do a set of smaller sports style panniers about $140Au that would be fine if your only one up.

Try the Dryrider or Motodry I think you will find them pretty good.
