Will it crank if you loosen the fuel cap? That would tell you if the lower end of the vent tube is blocked by debris. Cutting the end at an angle facing the rear tire has been reported to be a cure for that. Did you disconnect the side stand switch to eliminate it completely? That's also a source of wet riding failures, some of the guys have coated theirs with silicon to waterproof them. Might be a time to revisit dielectric grease on the exposed connections at the front of the coils as well....
