Whilst I haven't had the misfortune to break the headlight glass yet I doubt that the Sylvania 6024XV sealed beam quoted in the USA threads would be suitable for use in Australia as I imagine that on low beam it would point to the right hand side of the road, whereas, of course, we ride on the left side (most sensible!!)
