i have a 05 tiger and have been concerned about voltage also. i put a meeter on the battery and it had 14v at idle. i turned on the heated grips and it dropped a little then i turned on my piaa driving lights and the battery was discharging under 3000rpm. so as long as i kept riding all was ok. i was going to add an electric vest to the mix but haven't scrapped up the extra cash.
