I got Togas used without ever having heard any because to me they look the best. I had Staintune "peashooters" (not reverse megaphone) on the bike, with the baffles in place, and the sound was pretty good, and definitely not up into the annoy people level of loudness. I knew the Togas would be too loud from the overview perspective, as much as I'd personally enjoy the sound, so I had an aftermarket baffle that some have been known to use in Harleys cut in half and the halves used as baffles in the Togas. It was a pig in a poke; I didn't know what I'd get, but they sound very similar to the Staintunes with baffles. Not the perfect sound level and pitch, but good; I think I'd submit the W650's sound as the gold standard (among recently current possibilities, that is; a sixties' 650 is of course the actual standard).
