I purchased a 2006 1050 new in march 2006 i ride it to work everyday and wheely just about all the time it gets covered in crud constantly but the finish is holding up well i`ve replaced the fork seals myself and added 10w oil which is thicker and the forks are much firmer.The battery terminals kept coming loose so i fitted spring washers i had the clock assembly replaced under warranty at 4000 miles as they went kaput i fitted a k n airfilter but notice no real power increase i wanna do a single sided gp style exhaust mod but dont know what to do with the O2 sensor i`ve had no brake issues but i fitted better quality pads anyway i also notice i have a gap at the back of my seat where i notice all others sit down nice and tight to the bodywork i`m on my third set of tyres at 11000 miles but i do abuse em i love the bike and find it comfy and agile could use a bit more power tho...the dealer where i bought it has since gone skint so i now have to find another dealer for servicing and warranty issues BUT its still better than most other bikes i`ve had and that is a lot of abused bikes RIDE ON TRUMPERS
