Oh it goes a lot further than that, & there are many traps for the unwary. Pedestrians are at the most risk, as they look the wrong way when crossing a road. & you can always tell a US or Euro tourist in a shopping mall, as they ride on the wrong side of the elevator, blocking the clear lane for those in a hurry.
I think it was Sweden that actually switched sides, about 20 yrs ago, to comply with the rest of Europe. It must have been chaos, for a while.
I can't believe that the EU hasn't made the Poms switch, (which would probably force the rest of the Commonwealth countries to follow suit). Though maybe they figure that the Poms aren't as smart as the Swedes, & there would be too much carnage if they tried.
It'd be bedlam if they tried it here. Most people have enough trouble driving on the side of the road that they're used to. lol
I've only ever ridden a push bike on my "wrong side" of the road, but I've always thought that it'd be easier to get used to it on a motorbike, as the controls are still familiar (i.e you're not changing gear with your wrong hand) & you don't have to get used to the different control dynamics, from sitting on the wrong side of the vehicle, leaving you free to cope with different road conditions.
Would anyone who's tried doing both (driving a cage & a bike on the "wrong" side of the road) like to comment?

P.S. I just realised how far off-topic this post is. So here's a blurry shot of sunrise from my front balcony, a couple of days ago (I'm retired, so this is my office)

Sorry it's so blurry, I musta taken it before my first cup of coffee.
The colours are still nice though.
I'd take another one, but it's just steel grey skies out there today.
But at least it's not raining, so I should get a ride in.
Yeeha!
