Another Option for transit
I can see clearly now with the wife going along that there will be numerous bathroom stops, why heck she's already complaining about her rear end is going to get numb.I have a Silverado, extended cab, 6 ft bed. Hauled the bike ratchet strapped in it that way for 250 mi,didn't budge an inch.3 Ratchet straps,by the way it didn't scratch it at all 2-on the handlebars to their 2 front of bed respective corners and one resting on the back tire from fleetside back corner to the other back corner.[ROLLOFF INSURANCE]I've seen a lot of Bro's do this on the way to sturgis. Downside-not much free open air except cab;Upside- due to inclement weather you can reach destination on time- dry. Ramp on-ramp off. Just another thought that may help somebody else decide. If one piece Transportation fails? Always have a second. Speed.
