You summed things up pretty well! And as you suggested, when we finally mark out the details of the route, it would be nice if some forum members could meet up with us for a stint here and there. Hey hidesert, we might just get to see some of that beautiful southwest!
Guy was diplomatic enough not to mention my anxiety level. I've mentioned to him I have two fears. One, I have a time constraint and I don't want to spoil his trip. But I think we'll manage okay. And two, I have an unhealthy fear of heights. (Debilitating is more like it.) Crossing the Rockies should be quite a challenge! Putting me in a tent now and then will be interesting too!
So, fellow BHO members, please suggest things not to miss. (And a homecooked meal along the route wouldn't be turned down!)

PS Sorry Nochicanes, I hit the submit button just after you posted. Thanks for your thoughts. We may be a little south of 66 from what I remember. I'll look into it.
