Old Scratch - I use the Photobucket approach, too. However, I think there must be some differences in how we're configured. When I post a photo to P/bucket for the sole purpose of posting to RatNet, I then resize it (on Photobucket), then with a few clicks I work my way back to the page of small images containing that file. I then copy the "IMG" link and paste that into my RatNet post.
The difference is that mine doesn't come up as a thumbnail, but to whatever size I previously resized it.
Go figure!
