My first reaction reading this is "so why on earth did he decide to buy the bike from this dealer?" Was that dealer the only option near you, only they had the Thruxton you wanted, or what?
Here in Phoenix I tried two different dealers - the first because their website looked better. That was deceiving - the salesman who talked to me about Bonnevilles could barely articulate anything about the machines, didn't know basic specs, and actually sort of ran away from me after being unable to answer most of my questions. The other dealer was great, and that's who I bought from.
