I can't comment on these exact models, but I do have both an X-11 and RF-1000 with what looks to be similar venting. The X-11 and RF are very similar with lining exception. both are extremely well vented as it looks like the Raid and XR will be. Depending on which model ARAI I think most Arai helmets have side pieces installed over the visor locking mechanism which helps the graphics look more complete, but makes them more noisy because of the aero effects. The Shoeis do not have these pieces and are more quiet for the most part. The higher up the price line you go you get a little more "plushy" lining and better graphic choices but essentially the same helmet so you should like the switch for the noise factor. However Arais tend to fit different than Shoei for different head shapes so be careful as the sizes will not match up quite the same - Same with Suomy (Way different especially with Spec 1R extreme) Try both on at the dealer for a bit to make sure of the fit
You will absolutely love the Shoei visor system - on and off in 15 sec if you are wearing a smoke screen during the day and need to change to a clear one for night. I love the Suomy and Arai graphics because of the side pieces, but man are they a PITA to change.
