I've got a tapping sound in the motor, thought it was the tranny, so did the mechanic it took it to. $700 later I still got that sound and the guy says it must be in the sludge trap. He wants to rebuild it for $1500 - $2000. I don't know if I want to trust him again. So, to get the motor on my Bonnie rebuilt this winter is the question. Anyone care to recomend a good trustworthy mechanic in the Western NC area (or within a few hundred miles)?
