The laws of physics state that the impact force is a function of mass and height above ground and has nothing to do with how fast you are going forward. In theory a low side at 100mph should produce LESS damage than someone pushing your bike over in a parking lot. Of course there will be damage caused by the friction of your bike sliding across the asphalt/curb/grass as it decelerates. heh.
