Me personally, I wear my leather racing jacket under a pair of Walls Blizzard Proof coveralls from wall mart. Available in black, easy on over clothes and jacket, and warm. if you go down you are protected by your jacket and heavy canvas of the coveralls. You will want to invest in a good heavy pair of boots with good liners in them.
I am still riding when others are sitting at home fondling their bikes. A good rain suit helps too.....bout a 100 bucks at cycle gear. Even fits over the coveralls....
