DOT Helmets

Here in Washington, the law clearly states the helmet must have a DOT sticker.

"(3) For purposes of this section, "motorcycle helmet" means a protective covering for the head consisting of a hard outer shell, padding adjacent to and inside the outer shell, and a neck or chin strap type retention system, with a sticker indicating that the motorcycle helmet meets standards established by the United States Department of Transportation"

This is in an effort to keep people from wearing the novelty helmets, not decent EU lids. I have been wearing a German Schuberth Concept for years with never a problem. Love the push-button clasp on the strap. I'm sure that the EU standard meets or exceeds the DOT Standard. I have never even bothered to put the required DOT sticker on it.
