I bit the bullet and bought the Zumo 550 and have been very happy with it. I eventually want to get the XM NavTraffic antenna because I actually use it more in my work vehicle than on the bike and that feature, I think, would really come in handy driving around SoCal's freeways.
I wanted a unit that I could use both on the bike and in a cage and I felt that since the bike is where it is going to see the most abuse (weather, vibration, etc) it was better to get a unit that was designed for the bike and adaptable to a cage then vise versa and the Zumo came with the mounts for both. Unfortunately the price sucks. I just did a quick search on pricegrabber and they can be found for just over 6 bills. I bought mine at BuyDig.com for $690.00 back in June, they are down to $630.00 now.

On the 2610,
Several of the listers on the Sabre/Magna mailing list have recently bought this unit because of a really good deal on factory refurbs. FYI, There was some issues with the unit randomly changing screens or locking onto a screen and having to be turned off/on to get it to act normal again. This seemed to happened only when being used on a bike, not while in a cage. The consensus was that the IR function in bright sunlight was the problem. Turning the IR feature off or putting some black tape over the IR receiver fixed the problem. YMMV
Speed Safe,
Don
