I'll second the Sidi Strada Evo Tepor Boots choice. I can't imagine the velcro not holding. I also have a pair of the Sidi Typhoon Gore-Tex Boots for more touring rides. Both great boots. Tepor are lighter and easier to shift in sport mode. The Typhoon is just what its name implies. Similar to Hedge's Canyon boots. I feel you can't go wrong with a Sidi boot.

By the way, the Tepor aren't the best to walk in. They're okay, but not great. Riding in them is extremely comfortable though!
