It's not exactly good for crash protection, but great for wind protection while riding. If safety is a concern, get a thin riding jacket at a bike shop to wear over it as a shell. I have an Icon Merc that I sometimes wear over it.
OK Weasel, I got ya beat. I got this when I rockin the '69 Vespa. Same style BUT with removeable armor in the shoulders and elbows. I still wear it when I ride the Bonnie but I'm going to leather for more protection and warmth.
