I got a nylon USAF MA-1 Flight Jacket in black. With my Dr. Martens and rolled up jeans I look like a
SHARP except I have long hair. The interior is orange and the jacket is reversable so I can look like the great pumpkin on Halloween. It cost me $40 at the local surplus shop. I wore it in Chicago and was very warm wandering around the windy city at 30 degrees + wind chill.
It's not exactly good for crash protection, but great for wind protection while riding. If safety is a concern, get a thin riding jacket at a bike shop to wear over it as a shell. I have an Icon Merc that I sometimes wear over it.
