That dang filter, all my cursing wouldn't get it off. I was just about to go to the store and get a new filter wrench (because of the small size of the filter) or punch a hole in it with a screw driver when I noticed my big, honking water pump pliers, end of story.
I really didn't want to buy a special wrench because I thought, when it comes time to do it again in 6k, first off I KNOW this filter won't be that tight, and I probably wouldn't be able to find it anyway.
