I use DeLorme's Street Atlas software to prepare cuesheets. I map out the route, then print out the directions to a file. I then import the file into Excel, modify the columns to suit my needs, shade every other line for quick reading, and print it out in large enough type for my old eyes to read w/o glasses. Works great for me! You can even edit the roads to suit local names, and you can add "routable" roads to the maps where Street Atlas doesn't show new roads.
