Alright... Alright...... Uncle!
year: 2000
color: White/Orange (try to lick my creamcycle)
milage: ~ 31kmi
rating: 9/10... I'd give it a 10 but for some of the engineering quirks on Triumph's part that make some maintenance jobs triple in length and leave you scratching your head saying "***?". But then all my favorite cars have had that same problem. I dunno..... It is a MOTORCYCLE in the purest sense. It is amazing all around. It is my seventh owned bike and 1 of only 2 that I would buy again and again if I could. This one will never be sold. (Vittoria)
mods: Not a whole lot, but just enough for me. I'll probably add on as years go by but who knows.
- Tail bob - moreso than stock by about half.
- smaller oval tail lamp
- signals lamps changed out to lower profile all around
- slightly lower bars
- crg bar end mirrors (god i love these - rock solid)
- couple extra pieces of engine chrome
- race pipes and rejetted, shimmed for those (best exhaust note in existence)
I
think that's it.
Problems: the numbskulled engineering decisions I deal with now and again. Currently the chain guide is about worn through and to get at it on some years you've got to take out of the fly wheel... or become very creative. Search on this you'll see... or you already know. I won't get into details. Problems really are few.
This is one of the only bikes I've taken out for a first ride and knew within seconds that I was buying it... It became a serious dilemma deciding between staying on the test ride for hours and turning right back around to tell him "I'll buy it." Loved it at first ride. (well... and sight for that matter.. heheh)
I've come from the land of shafts and returning to chain is a bit bothersome to me even besides some of the benefits.

But that's neither here nor there.
The TBS is just a fine machine. So much personality inside and out. Powerband is FAT and FLAT - love it. Torque low and torque high and not too much anywhere. The sound... did i mention the SOUND?? Stock seat is alright but more than an hour and it's rear-end sleepy time.
I'll fit a center stand someday. May go crazy in another round of mods but maybe not.
Love the bike.
