SkyKings...

I've got the SkyKings and in may case (RS), I didn't have to cut the fairings to install them, which was nice. This is purely hypothetical, but....a lot of people are apprehensive about the L-shaped "offset adapter" that they used on my model (and perhaps others?), but in retrospect (and especially after my 10 MPH get off 6 weeks back) I think the offset adapter actually saved my bike from further damage, as it seemed to "absorb" most of the energy of the fall. The adapter was bent back around 10-12mm. As the sliders are bolted directly to the engine mounts on the frame, I'm not sure how my frame would have fared if I had sliders with no offset, bolted straight into the frame. My opinion is that there could have been some frame damage in a get off at that speed. Granted, sliders are mainly there to protect against 0MPH drops, but in my case, I think the design actually helped to prevent any frame damage.

I ordered them directly from SkyKing and have been VERY happy with their service. They also sent me a replacement slider just 2 days after my drop.

Either way, any slider is better than no slider .
