Fastway pegs on Tiger. Love them!

You don't make Fastways for Tigers? You bastards! Give me the set for GS's and I'll make them fit!

A few hours of grinding, drilling and swearing I'll never do any customizing again, I have a terriffic set of footpegs on my ride!
The Fastway pegs itselves are the same for all the bikes, the removable/replaceable collars make them fit to a large variety of bikes. The customer service told me that GS uses 8mm pin and the collar is 22 mm long. Sounded just what I had measured on the Tiger. When the kit arrived, the collars were 25mm and hole 6mm.. In addition to fixing those problems I had to round the edge of the mount on the bike to get the pegs to turn. For a second I considered leaving them there stiff-mounted, but since they are the first parts to touch in a turn I visualized a rear tire lift-up leading into a lowside and the grinder came out. Since Tiger's mounts are narrower, the supplied spring was a couple of mm too wide and a tough fit, but I muscled it in there.

The ride and feel is sensaitional. There is so much support! There is no foot slippage! It's even annoying, if you plant your foot in a wrong position you can't slide it right, you have to pick it up and re-set it!
Was it some work to get them on? Yes. Worth it? To me - definitely!
I paid $125 incl shipping - I figured you would ask. Many places sell them, actually buying directly from Fastway wasn't the cheapest, so I didn't do it. I'm not in endorsement business, so shop around!

cheers!
