Getting there

Hello Gents,

I turned the pilot screw back in, so now it's 2 turns out. It seems that if I "half choke" on the first start of the day, all goes well. The "goosing" even seems a bit better. I think my vacuum caps may be a bit long. I'm thinking that the top of the vacuum port should make contact with the cap itself. I did pull the plugs far a look see. They look d-a-m-n near new. A very..VERY slight tanning on part of the white ceramic just above the "gappy thingy." I think I'm going to keep going in on the pilot until I get the dreaded "popping on de-cel." I also spoke to one of the guys at Peak Performance out here in Simi...they have a dyno and know these carbs well. $90.00 per hour....OUCH!
