Probably buying a Thruxton

Last week I saw a Thruxton for the first time and have been love-struck ever since. Been riding a '74 Commando and loving it, but I'm ready for more riding and less work. Looked at a lot of bikes but this one looks "just right." It's 27 miles to the closest Triumph dealer, but three of them within 30 miles. Really appreciate this site as it's given me a lot of useful info. Questions:
Anyone know of any big changes from '07 to '08 model that make it worth the wait and a few more $s?
I eagerly look forward to learning the bike and the fun of doing the aftermarket mods that make it perfect, but which mods are best done at the dealer and should be negotiated at time of purchase?
Best US source for accessories and aftermarket stuff?
Thanks in advance.
