If you're thinking about molded ear plugs like a hearing aid, that's what I use. To have plugs made at the local hearing aid store would have been more than $300 for the molds and inserts. I found the Ear Plug Superstore on the web at
http://earplugstore.stores.yahoo.net/ and got plugs from them. They send you a kit to make your own molds - it's easy - and then you send them the molds and whatever headphones you want to use. I use a set from Koss. They send the finished product back to you and they work great! I have a Cardo Rider for my cellphone and you can hear it fine with the earplugs in. You can play the music at comfortable levels and still hear what's going on around you. I have a Zumo 550 with XM Radio that I play through the headphones, my cellphone goes to the cardo. When I get a call or a GPS prompt, the music goes down and you can hear it all fine. And I had the inserts made the same color as my Tiger...Yellow!
