What you could always do is bent the stock mirrors down more. I believe it was Loxpump (might be wrong) that did that and from pictures, looks very good. Plus it would put it in a better position to avoid the gun show. Just use a table top vise (and a cloth or piece of rubber around the rod so not to scratch), and bent carefully.
